Lifan 200cc Chinese Motorcycle

Squire at Life As I Live It has bought a Lifan 200cc street and trail bike (OK, now they call them "dual-sports" or "dual-purpose" but I remember the Honda XL series when they were called street & trail) and seems to like it just fine. He reports that it averages over 75 mpg. I've looked at them online and they have a 3 year/30,000 mile warranty and are cheaper than a good used Japanese bike, not to mention being delivered right to your doorstep! Very tempting, indeed.

The video is not Squire, but just a video I found on Youtube of someone riding an LF200.

Read what Squire has to say about his bike here and here.
Edited to add: And here! Squire has started another blog, just about his bike! He must really like it...

The Rocketa is not the same bike but I have heard good things about them. My bike has a counter-balanced engine. Can't tell by the photo but I believe the Rocketa is an overhead cam engine and I have a push rod engine.

Thanks for the info, Squire. The counter balancer is a good thing to have, and I think I would actually rather have the pushrod motor, although a lot of people would disagree with me.
