Crosman 1322 Multi-Pump Air Pistol
I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but .22 caliber airgun pellets seem to have become the cheapest pellets you can buy. Even .177 caliber costs more, unless you are looking at the super premium .22 pellets. For example, looking at 500 count tins of basic Crosman lead pellets, I have seen 14.3 grain .22 pellets for around $6 per tin. 7.9 grain .177 pellets are a dollar more, at $7. For this reason and the fact that the larger caliber provides more energy from a given airgun platform, I have been watching for a price drop on Crosman's 1322, which is a .22 caliber multi-pump pneumatic air pistol.
The 13xx series is one of the most popular airguns ever built because of their combination of low price, decent power, accuracy and moddability. There are more parts available for these air pistols than probably any other airgun ever made. Both factory parts (including for other variations of the basic pistol) and aftermarket parts are easy to find. There are even factory carbine variants, and the buttstock to convert an existing pistol to a carbine is inexpensive and readily available.
I've had a 1377, the .177 caliber version, for several years. So when I recently noticed a price drop of the 1322 on Amazon, I finally pulled the trigger. I'm happy I did. If you want one, here's a link. While you're there, also be sure to look around at all the accessories, ammo and targets for it.
