Victim of violence testifies before US Congress

There's more to the story, too. I remember reading about it. This woman was in the habit of carrying a concealed handgun, against Texas state law. That day, she left her gun behind in her vehicle, because her father asked her to, because he didn't want her to get in trouble with the law.
Had she brought her gun, her parents and many other people who died that day
would probably still be alive.
